Neymar gives good news to PSG fans

After setting up Hattrick to help PSG defeat Istanbul Basaksehir, striker Neymar confirmed that he never intended to leave the French capital team.

PSG entered the remainder of the match against Istabul Basaksehir in the final match of Group H Champions League 2020/2021 this morning. Before that, this match was held on December 9. However, it was postponed in the 14th minute due to a racist referee incident with a member of the away team.

With the home advantage and outstanding force, the Ligue 1 champions do not have any difficulty to gain control of the match. On the day when striker Neymar shined brightly with a Hattrick, PSG defeated Istanbul Basaksehir with a strong 5-1 score. The one who scored the remaining two goals for the home team was Kylian Mbappe, while Mehmet Topal was the name that brought the honorary goal to the representative from Turkey.

With the creation of Hattrick in this match, Neymar went into Champions League history when he became the first player to reach 20 goals in Europe’s most prestigious arena in two different clubs. Previously, the Brazilian star had scored 21 goals for Barcelona in this front.

After setting a new milestone, Neymar could not hide his joy. In addition, he also brought a news that could not be happier with PSG fans when he shared that he had never thought of leaving the Parc des Princes:

“I’m really happy to be able to live and play in Paris. I am satisfied with everything at the club, and my teammates take care of me a lot. I never thought of leaving this wonderful group. We’re in the midst of negotiating a new deal and things are still on track. Let’s wait and see what will happen next in the future”.

In addition to Neymar’s sharing, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi also confirmed this. The owner of the French capital team believes very much in his ability to persuade Neymar to continue to stay and contribute to PSG in the future:

“We are starting to work on a contract extension with both Neymar and Mbappe. These negotiations are confidential, but we are confident we will convince them to stay. It is important that both Neymar and Mbappe show goodwill to the team”.
